MEET MARY CATE

Hi, I’m Mary Cate!

I’m a neurodivergent therapist who believes in bringing my authentic self into the therapy space, with a lot of realness and just the right amount of humor. So let’s hold space for you to laugh - and cry - as we meaningfully explore what it is to be deeply human.

My work is collaborative and centers your needs. You want to show me that thing you learned from TikTok? Or discuss that self-care intervention you HATED?  I welcome it! Your authenticity and needs don’t scare me, instead I value meeting you wherever you are while helping you grow into who you want to be. Whether that means you are a teen struggling with the stress of extra-curriculars or a queer couple navigating sexual intimacy struggles or anything in between, I love exploring the different complexities of life and experiences.

If you’re looking for therapy that feels like genuine connection and collaboration, then this is a space for you.

Who I Work With

  • Those impacted by trauma, PTSD, anxiety & depression

  • Young adults navigating self-esteem, life-transitions, college or career stress

  • Neurodiversity through an affirming and trauma-informed lens

  • Relationships with a focus on sex and intimacy

A Note From Mary Cate

My approach is based on Person-Centered therapy, and, most importantly, on being a human! I prioritize safety for my clients. We will always move at your pace - creating a space that is comfortable enough to explore the hard stuff and light enough to breathe (and sometimes laugh) through it.

I value blending evidence-based tools with genuine connection, as well as a little bit of personality mixed with modalities like DBT, CBT, somatic work, EMDR, MI, psychodynamic therapy and more while always incorporating a trauma-informed lens. My goal is to create a relational space where we hold the heavy things together.
